Miss Thuy Tien was arrested and prosecuted for falsely advertising Kera functional candy.
On May 19, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency (C01) prosecuted and temporarily detained beauty queen Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien on charges of "deceiving customers" under Article 198 of the Penal Code.
The Office of the Investigation Police Agency (C01) of the Ministry of Public Security has just officially prosecuted Miss Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien for the act of "deceiving customers", according to Article 198 of the 2015 Penal Code.
Along with Thuy Tien, C01 also prosecuted four more leaders of Asia Life JSC for their involvement in the production of fake food. These people include Nguyen Pham Hong Vy (Director), Pham Thi Diem Trinh (Head of R&D Department), Truong Thi Le (Head of Quality Assurance and Quality Control Department) and Tran Thi Le Thu (Head of Production Department).
According to the investigation agency, all four defendants were accused of violating Clause 3, Article 193 of the 2015 Penal Code. Trinh and Thu were temporarily detained to serve the investigation, while Vy and Le were released on bail because they were raising a young child and were pregnant, with an order prohibiting them from leaving their place of residence.
The prosecution decisions were approved by the People's Procuracy and implemented immediately. This is the latest development in the case related to Kera vegetable candy, a functional food product that is being investigated for transparency and quality.
Miss Thuy Tien was accused of false advertising for the functional candy product Kera, along with other famous figures such as Quang Linh Vlogs and Hang "nomad".
