Intense fire breaks out in skyscraper in Russia.

The fire that engulfed Russia's tallest skyscraper in the North Caucasus has been extinguished, but it has left behind a towering, charred structure.

This complex of modern, luxurious high-rise buildings is called "The City".Grozny"One of the buildings caught fire yesterday and the blaze was extinguished early this morning, around 1:30 local time."

The fire nearly completely destroyed the 40-story building.

Initial reports suggest the fire started on the top floor, and that the bottom floor also caught fire.

Everyone inside the 145-meter-tall tower has been evacuated. Local police confirmed that no one was injured or killed.

An estimated nearly 300 people participated in extinguishing the fire.
