"At the same time, the Trump administration's goal remains to reduce the income of the Iranian economy, the release of some countries from sanctions is provided on the condition that these countries will have to continuously reduce oil imports to avoid high prices for "black gold", Bloomberg quoted the source.

The source explained that the above sanctions exemptions are only temporary, the US hopes that the countries freed from sanctions will continue to reduce their oil imports from Iran in the coming months. The source also did not give further details on the amount of oil that countries are allowed to import from Iran.

The list of countries exempted from sanctions against Iran is expected to be officially announced on Monday, November 5, when US restrictions on Iran come into effect.
