The United States wants a stronger relationship with Russia
The United States supports a stronger relationship with Russia, State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert told reporters.

"We look forward to a stronger relationship with Russia," said a Foreign Ministry representative.
Ms. Heather Nauert also declined to comment on the meeting between the two countries' presidents, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. Earlier, the Kremlin and the White House reported that the possibility of such a meeting was being decided.
"I can't say anything about the meeting, that's a White House matter," Nauert added.
