According to the portal, the electronic intelligence aircraft took off from Greece at around 11:50 a.m. Hanoi time, and after a few hours began monitoring the Black Sea coast. At 1 p.m., the Boeing RC-135V returned to its base airport.
The same aircraft then carried out a reconnaissance flight near the border of the Kaliningrad region and Belarus, according to reports.
In November, the Russian military intercepted a US reconnaissance aircraft over the Black Sea. The US considered the maneuver of the Russian Su-27 to be unsafe, but the Russian Defense Ministry denied this assertion. According to the ministry, an unidentified target was detected in the neutral airspace of the Black Sea, which was then identified and escorted, preventing a violation of airspace boundaries.

Recently, the activity of foreign reconnaissance aircraft and UAVs near Russian borders has increased. Especially in the Crimea and Krasnodar regions, and near the country's western border.
The Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly called on Washington to abandon such activities, but the Pentagon has refused.
