Lavender is good for health
After roses, lavender is the most popular flower mentioned in the world of aromatherapy and therapy.
Lavender (Lavandula) is native to the Mediterranean region, where it was used by the Romans to scent clothes and bathwater. In the Middle Ages, people in Provence, southern France, used lavender in perfumes and medicinal formulas. However, it was not until the 19th century that lavender was widely cultivated. Today, people use lavender for health in the form of infusions, essential oils, and softgels to prevent flu, acne, soothe, and help heal scars.
The plant is harvested when it is in bloom, dried and put into vacuum bags for long-term preservation. Known as the flower of gentleness and purity like sunlight, lavender in ancient times means "to wash", bringing clear effects on health. Honey from lavender is very delicious and good for the nervous system, popular in the treatment of diseases such as insomnia, anxiety, stress... To sleep better, people drop a few drops of lavender essential oil on the pillow or put a bag of dried lavender flowers in the pillowcase. The warmth of the body and bed will help disperse the soothing molecules of the flower. Apply a little lavender essential oil to the temple and massage gently to reduce migraines and dizziness.
Lavender infusion helps eliminate flatulence and reduce fermentation in the intestines. Lavender essential oil can disinfect and antibacterial the room space; prevent respiratory disorders such as colds, coughs, sinusitis, reduce fever, soothe sore throats and asthma. Using essential oils for massage or diluting to apply in cases of joint pain, rheumatism or cramps is very good. For burns, insect bites, sunburn, eczema, small wounds or acne, you can directly apply lavender vinegar (soak 100 grams of lavender with one liter of vinegar for 8 days) mixed with rose water on the skin.
Lavender essential oil is also used in cakes, ice cream, jams. For savory dishes, people add a fresh lavender sprig to enhance the flavor of the food instead of coriander.
