After being held to a regrettable draw by U22 China in the third round, U22 Vietnam had to accept 3rd place overall in the CFA Team China 2025 Friendly Tournament. The match took place on the evening of March 25.
The CFA Team China 2025 Friendly Tournament will take place from March 20-25 at the Yancheng Olympic Sports Centre, China.

The tournament features four U22 teams, including host China, and invited teams.U22 Vietnam, U22 Korea and U22 Uzbekistan. The teams will compete in a round robin format. The team with the best results after each round will be crowned champion.
After 2 matches, U22 Vietnam has 2 points and is full of opportunities to win the championship of this tournament, if they win against U22 China in the last match. Because before that, U22 Korea defeated U22 Uzbekistan with a score of 3-1.
Although the goal was to win all 3 points, against the strength of the home team, U22 Vietnam faced many difficulties in the first minutes of the match. In the 28th minute of the match, it seemed that the home team could open the score. The opportunity came from a very dangerous long-range shot by Jiwen. Goalkeeper Cao Van Binh reacted promptly to touch the ball with his fingertips, hitting the crossbar, saving U22 Vietnam.
