Completed casting of the Great Bell at Chi Linh Pagoda
(Baonghean) - After 15 days of urgent construction, the Great Bell at Chi Linh Pagoda, Yen Thanh District has been completed and is considered the largest bronze bell in Nghe An Province. The bell is 2.15m high, 1.28m in diameter, weighs 1.5 tons, and is intricately carved with patterns and motifs by bronze casting artisans in the ancient capital of Hue, with a total cost of over 600 million VND. Along with the event of placing the nearly 3m high statue of Buddha Shakyamuni, the casting of the Great Bell at Chi Linh Pagoda is an activity of great cultural and spiritual significance.
Currently, Yen Thanh District People's Committee is speeding up the implementation of the project to build a spiritual and ecological tourist area located in Gam mountain complex, Xuan Thanh commune.
