Hoang Mai: Closing Ceremony of the 2nd Youth and Children's Football Tournament

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 6, 2015, the People's Committee of Hoang Mai Town held the closing ceremony of the 2nd Children's Football Tournament, 2015.

Young players Quynh Phuong and Mai Hung competed in the final match.

The Hoang Mai Town Youth Football Tournament brought together 10 teams from 10 communes and wards, starting on June 29, 2015. The teams were divided into 3 groups for the qualifying round, with the top teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals. After 7 days of exciting competition, the final match on the afternoon of July 6th between the Quynh Phuong Ward Youth Team and the Mai Hung Ward Youth Team was captivating and dramatic, offering spectators many spectacular plays. After a 1-1 draw in the two halves, the match went to a penalty shootout. Ultimately, the Quynh Phuong Ward Youth Team won 3-2 and claimed the championship trophy for the second season of the Hoang Mai Town tournament. The organizing committee awarded the Fair Play award to the Quynh Thien Ward team, two third-place prizes to the Quynh Loc and Quynh Lap communes, and the second-place prize to the Mai Hung Ward Youth Team.

The town leaders presented the award to the Quỳnh Phương Children's Team for winning the championship cup.

On this occasion, the Youth Union of the town, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, and the Department of Education of the town presented 30 gifts to 30 players from disadvantaged backgrounds, outstanding students, and those actively participating in youth group activities.
