(Baonghean.vn) - In order to actively apply information technology to improve the management and operation of state agencies, serving people and businesses more effectively, and aiming towards an e-town, Hoang Mai town is implementing a project in this field.

Currently, Hoang Mai district has a 91% rate of civil servants equipped with computers for work in town agencies and 10 wards/communes; the rate of computers connected to the Internet is 92%; most agencies, units, and wards/communes have connected to the Internet via transmission lines, FTTx, ADSL, etc.
The People's Committee of the town has directed the implementation of training and the deployment of the Eoffice electronic office software at the town's government agencies, reducing paperwork and shortening processing time, which has initially yielded positive results.
Hoang Mai district aims to be among the top districts in the province by 2020 in the application and development of information technology in public service; providing basic online public services at level 4, meeting practical needs, serving citizens and businesses anytime, anywhere, based on various means.

Hoang Mai town has also clearly identified several tasks and solutions to focus on implementing, such as: strengthening the application and development of information technology to serve the people and businesses; developing and improving telecommunications infrastructure and information systems; simultaneously strengthening propaganda and dissemination to raise awareness about the application and development of information technology among officials, Party members, and the people; solutions for training human resources; and mobilizing and concentrating investment capital for the application and development of information and communication technology, with many proposed solutions.
