Hoang Mai bestows the title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother"

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 14th, Hoang Mai Town held a ceremony to award the State's honorary title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother".

Throughout the wars of national liberation and defense of the Fatherland, Hoang Mai town has seen tens of thousands of its young people enlist in the army, and 813 soldiers have fallen on the battlefields.

On this occasion, authorized by the President of Vietnam, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front of Hoang Mai town organized a ceremony to award the honorary state title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" to two mothers who were awarded the title in 2015: Mrs. Nguyen Thi Him, 95 years old, currently living in Quynh Lien commune, and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Mui, 89 years old, currently living with her children in Quynh Phuong ward, Hoang Mai town.

At the award ceremony, the leaders of Hoang Mai town presented certificates, gifts, and kindly inquired about the well-being of the mothers, wishing them a happy Tet holiday and a warm Spring celebration with their children and grandchildren.

On behalf of the Party Committee and people of Hoang Mai town, Comrade Doan Hong Vu - Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the Town Party Committee - expressed boundless gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of the mothers for the cause of national liberation, building and protecting the Fatherland.
