Magnificent rehearsal night of the art program 'Heroic Ben Thuy'

On the evening of September 7, at the north of Ben Thuy bridge (Vinh city), the rehearsal of the program "Heroic Ben Thuy" took place.

Attending the rehearsal night on the Central side were comrade Thuan Huu - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper; on the Nghe An province side were comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Ben Thuy, the land connecting Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces, is a place that has marked many victories in the struggle for national liberation and unification. The program was organized to honor and pay tribute to the contributions of the heroes and martyrs here.

The program will take place at 8:05 p.m. on September 8, with People's Artist Tran Binh writing the script and acting as general director.

“Heroic Ben Thuy” consists of four chapters: “Where the sacred energy of mountains and rivers converges”, “Standing up first”, “Heroic coordinates”, “Ben Thuy today”, with epic dance performances, songs “The Central Capital of that time is still here”, “Hong River and Hong Mountains”, “Ben Thuy Epic Song”, “To the Soldier on the Ferry”, “The Militia Girl of the Red Village”, “Hello, Lam Hong Girl”, “Keep the Soviet Sea and Sky of Nghe An”, “Here I am in Nghe Tinh”, “Love for Nghe An”, “Tomorrow I will return to Ha Tinh”…. with the participation of singers and artists from the Vietnam Contemporary Music and Dance Theater such as singers Trong Tan, Quoc Hung, Tung Duong, Anh Tho, Tuan Phuong, Phuong Thao, Tien Hung…

“Heroic Ben Thuy” recounts history from 2879 BC, when Kinh Duong (real name Loc Tuc, born in the year of Nham Ngo - 2919 BC) ascended the throne, established the Xich Quy state and chose to make his capital at Ngan Hong, to Ben Thuy, which was ablaze with flags and fighting spirit during the revolutionary movement of 1930-1931 and then the war to regain independence and freedom for the homeland, to build a strong and prosperous homeland.

The program combines short clips, documentaries, and materials about Ben Thuy - the rapid development of industry and technology in the early 20th century, reviewing typical events in the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement, the relics of the Secret Basement in the hundred-year-old house, Con Mo relic site...

Some historical witnesses were also invited to talk and interact at the program such as Hero Nguyen Dang Che, writer Dao Thang, Mr. Tran Ngoc Thai, former deputy platoon leader of Vinh City Steel Platoon...

The program will be broadcast live on Nhan Dan Television channel at 8:05 a.m., September 8.
