(Baonghean.vn) - Activities of visiting, giving gifts, and helping students and the poor in mountainous districts - highlands continue to take place enthusiastically. All are looking forward to a warm winter and preparing to welcome the traditional New Year with more joy and happiness.

In Nghia Dan district, on the night of January 11, the Youth Union of Nghia An commune coordinated with Nghia An Primary School to organize the program "Warm winter for children" in 2019. The charity music night brought the audience exciting and attractive performances with singing and dancing with content praising the love of the homeland from students, teachers and union members - youth in and outside the district.

At the music night, the Organizing Committee received contributions and support from organizations and individuals inside and outside the district to support the program with a total amount of nearly 80 million VND. In addition, 50 warm blankets and 10 scholarships were presented to poor students who have overcome difficulties.

In Con Cuong districtOn January 12, Nghe An Provincial Police coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to organize the "Warm Winter 2019" program. Here, the delegation presented 100 gifts to poor households in Mau Duc and Chi Khe communes (50 gifts for each commune; each gift included 300,000 VND in cash, 10 kg of rice and a warm blanket). These gifts were timely encouragement and sharing to poor households to reduce difficulties and happily celebrate the spring and Tet.

In Tuong Duong districtOn January 12, Tuong Duong Charity Club coordinated with the "Live to Love" Club from Nghe An University of Economics to give gifts to students and the poor in Nhon Mai border commune. Specifically, the "Live to Love" Club gave 200 warm coats to students of the Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School, 100 warm coats to the poor in the commune with a total value of about 35 million VND.

Tuong Duong Charity Club also donated 200 warm clothes to students, 100 warm clothes to adults, 10 warm blankets and gave the Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School a steam rice cooker worth 18 million VND. In addition, the group also organized Chung cake wrapping for students, organized folk games and cultural and artistic exchanges, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, dispelling the winter cold.

On January 12, the Youth Union of the Department of Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Product Quality Management, the Department of Fisheries, the Plant Breeding Center (Department of Agriculture and Rural Development) and the Youth Union of the Department of Food Safety and Hygiene (Department of Health) coordinated with Que Phong District Youth Union to organize Tet gifts for students of Thong Thu 1 Primary School and 4 families in difficult circumstances in Thong Thu commune, Que Phong district.

The Youth Union branches gave 100 gifts to the students, each gift included warm clothes, woolen hats... and 1 candy package. The 4 families that received the gifts were all from Loc village, each gift worth 800,000 VND.
