Charity activities to help the poor in Tan Ky, Hung Nguyen
(Baonghean.vn) - Volunteer groups and social organizations have presented many valuable gifts to poor households and people with serious illnesses in Tan Ky and Hung Nguyen districts.
* May 20,Amitabha Buddha Volunteer Group (Ho Chi Minh City)In coordination with Thien Tam Charity Association, Tan Ky district organized the giving of 10 gifts to poor families in difficult circumstances in Nghia Phuc, Tan Hop, Giai Xuan and Ky Son communes, each gift worth 50 million VND to help households build solid houses and stabilize their lives. The total value of the gifts given was 500 million VND.

On this occasion, the Volunteer Group also supported the entire cost of heart surgery for Nguyen Thi Nhung (born in 2005) in Dong Lau hamlet, Dong Van commune and supported 10 million VND for Truong Thi Xuyen in Keo hamlet, Nghia Phuc commune, who suffered from a serious illness. The sharing of kind-hearted people helped households reduce difficulties and improve their lives.

On this occasion, the Association also presented a savings book worth 5 million VND to member Hoang Thi Lien, in hamlet 12, Hung Long commune. This is an activity to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh trail - the Truong Son Soldiers' Traditional Day of the Association.
