(Baonghean.vn) - Organizing free medical examinations for people with disabilities, supporting traders affected by market fires and giving breeding animals to poor households... are social and charitable activities on May 17 in localities.

These are the breeding pigs that soldiers of Mon Son Border Guard Station directly selected and raised right at the unit. Mon Son Border Guard Station also provided guidance on breeding techniques and veterinary care for local people.

Subjects are screened for disabilities such as clubfoot, ankle deformities, burn scars, and deltoid fibrosis. After screening, those with serious illnesses will be consulted by doctors and referred to a specialist for surgery. Those who need orthopedic devices will be provided with free fitting support. In addition, patients' families will also be consulted and guided on health care measures for people with disabilities.

Here, the delegation awarded 141 million VND to 25 households whose kiosks were burned from the provincial relief fund. The support was based on the level of damage caused by the fire to each household, with an average of 3 to 10 million VND, helping small traders facing risks to overcome difficulties and continue their business.

Previously, at 0:00 a.m. on April 25, the Management Board of Hieu Market and local residents discovered a fire broke out at a kiosk in the Hieu Market area and quickly flared up, flames and smoke billowing high, covering the entire market. When the incident was discovered, local residents called hundreds of people around to put out the fire and reported it to the authorities.

According to statistics, about 44 kiosks selling votive offerings, groceries, restaurants... were burned down. The estimated damage is about 5 billion VND.
