On July 8th, the Institute of International Education (IIE) Vietnam announced the list of 10 outstanding students who will receive GE Foundation scholarships starting from the 2013-2014 academic year. Each student will receive $3,450 USD for the next three academic years, provided they maintain their good academic performance.

On July 8th, the Institute of International Education (IIE) Vietnam announced the list of 10 outstanding students who will receive GE Foundation scholarships starting from the 2013-2014 academic year. Each student will receive $3,450 USD for the next three academic years, provided they maintain their good academic performance.

The students who received scholarships this time include 4 from Hanoi Foreign Trade University; 2 from Ho Chi Minh City Foreign Trade University; 2 from Da Nang University and 2 from Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

The GE Foundation is a charitable organization of General Electric Corporation. The scholarship program aims to provide financial support to outstanding students from disadvantaged backgrounds currently studying economics, engineering, and natural sciences at leading universities in Vietnam.

As part of the program, GE Foundation scholarship recipients will attend a skills-building workshop held in mid-July in Hanoi. The program aims to provide students with opportunities to hone their skills and share ideas.

The workshop includes presentations and discussions on self-awareness, leadership skills development, and analytical thinking, as well as team-building activities. In addition, students will hear from the workshop speakers about human relations and how to achieve success.

In addition, scholarship recipients also have the opportunity to be mentored by experienced individuals from General Electric Corporation and participate in volunteer activities to help the community.
