Students in Do Luong enthusiastically participated in the "Golden Bell" quiz competition on Population and Reproductive Health.
The competition was organized with the aim of supporting students in improving their knowledge of population issues and skills in adolescent and youth reproductive health care.
On the afternoon of November 22nd, at Do Luong 3 High School, the Department of Health, in coordination with the Do Luong Health Center, organized a competition.Golden Bell Challenge: Testing knowledge about population and reproductive health.Adolescents, young people.
This meaningful activity is held in anticipation of Vietnam's Population Day on December 26th. The competition involved 100 students from Do Luong 3 High School, with the support of the school's teachers.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Van Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, stated that high school students aged 15 to 18 are in a period of significant psychological, cognitive, and behavioral changes. Without adequate knowledge and skills regarding reproductive health, sexuality, friendship, and love, they may face unfortunate consequences: unwanted pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections, or psychological crises that negatively impact their studies and future.

Given these characteristics, in recent years, population work and reproductive health care for adolescents and young people have been important tasks that the health sector has focused on, with the aim of contributing to improving the quality of the population and laying a solid foundation for a healthy, creative, knowledgeable, and responsible younger generation.
Among these, the "Golden Bell Challenge" competition on population and reproductive health knowledge for adolescents, young people, and students is a meaningful platform that attracts a large number of students and teachers to participate.

The competition was designed with a diverse and comprehensive set of questions, covering topics such as reproductive health care, prevention of child marriage and consanguineous marriage, self-protection skills, and practical scenarios.
In addition, the students demonstrated their understanding through knowledge-based questions about Culture and Society, History, Geography, and local traditions. Many of the questions were relatable and engaging, helping them approach knowledge naturally and enthusiastically.

The competition is organized with the desire to support students in improving their knowledge of population issues and reproductive health care skills for adolescents and young adults. Furthermore, this is not only a vibrant extracurricular activity, but also a special learning environment – where students can reinforce and expand their knowledge of population, gender, and reproductive health, and develop critical thinking skills, quick reflexes, and a spirit of teamwork and mutual learning.
Through this competition, each student will gain a better understanding of their own body and psychology; develop a correct and responsible attitude in friendships and romantic relationships; and learn to protect themselves and respect others.

Through this competition, the organizers also conveyed the message that, in addition to knowledge, a positive attitude and healthy life skills are the best ways to protect the future leaders of the country. From there, the students will become advocates for their age group, contributing to spreading knowledge about population and reproductive health to their friends, family, and community, and together building a healthy, friendly, and safe school environment.

At the end of the competition, Nguyen Thi Thuy Trang, a student from class 12D1 of Do Luong 3 High School, was awarded first prize and the "Golden Bell" prize. This school year, Thuy Trang also won second prize in the provincial-level excellent student competition in Literature for 12th graders.
In addition, the organizing committee also awarded 1 second prize, 4 third prizes, supplementary prizes, and a team prize for the best cheering squad.
