Students 'cried like rain' when hearing teacher share about apologizing to parents
I'm sorry dad, sorry mom...! Apologizing is not difficult but young people refuse to say it. They consider themselves the center of the universe and don't care about the troubles their parents have to endure...
The clip of the shared article that "awakened" students is being spread by the online community.
Young people make the most mistakes with their parents, but most of them owe them apologies. That is the content of the emotional life skills education shared by teacher Nguyen Thanh Nhan.
Recently, netizens quickly spread a short clip titled “To err is human, to correct mistakes is a saint”. This is an excerpt from a talk by teacher Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Director of the Southern Youth Center, with students of Nhat Tan Secondary School (Hanoi).
Most of the students in the school cried with emotion when listening to the teacher lecture.
In the sharing, the teacher raised the question: Saying sorry or thank you is very easy, but why is it so difficult for us to say it to our fathers, mothers, and closest relatives?
In his speech, Mr. Nhan mentioned the common mistakes that young people make such as selfishness, stubbornness, and rebellion. They are "big" and heartless children who do not think about their parents. After only 2 days, the clip attracted more than 2.3 million views, more than 32,000 likes, and more than 63,000 shares.
When making mistakes, young people rarely say sorry, even though it is not difficult. "You are the center of the universe, all the love and protection of your parents is given to you, the older you get, the more rebellious and demanding you become. You forget how to say thank you or sorry," the teacher emphasized.
A boy could not hold back his tears as he remembered how he had accidentally hurt his mother but did not apologize to her.
Saying sorry or thank you are words that even a 3 year old can say. We can say it so easily to strangers, so why is it so difficult to say it to our parents, our closest relatives?
Crying does not mean being weak. Girls or boys, crying does not mean being weak. Crying is just to release something. Sometimes, tears shed for family are tears of happiness, so there is nothing to be ashamed of. That happiness deserves to be cherished.
Yet, many times young people blame their parents, even intend to run away from home, then listen to the instigation of friends to rebel against their parents, thinking that their parents do not love them. At that time, we were so foolish because we unintentionally hurt our parents.
Parents are just ordinary workers but many young people still regularly ask for money and new clothes.
In conclusion, Mr. Nhan told his students: "Those who make mistakes are human, those who know how to correct their mistakes are adults, and those who laugh and are proud of their mistakes are sinners."
Through that, the teacher wants to help you break the distance that you have created with your parents. Those who are still angry with their parents should apologize immediately, because time will not wait for anyone. “Every day, 280 people will never return because of traffic accidents. Never wait until your father has passed away before kneeling by his coffin, crying loudly, and apologizing because he cannot hear,” Mr. Nhan emphasized.
