On the afternoon of January 24, Vo Van Tam (8th grade student, Phan Chu Trinh Secondary School, My Xuan Ward, Phu My Town, Ba Ria - Vung Tau) was cycling to play soccer at an intersection when he saw a pile of large denomination bills lying on the side of the road.
I asked the woman selling water on the roadside to call the My Xuan Ward Police to hand over the 50 million VND I found.
"I know that Tam's family is very poor and is renting a house. His mother and brother are both construction workers. His awareness of 'returning lost property to its owner' is very admirable," said Captain Vo Xuan Hoa, who received the money.
The People's Committee of My Xuan Ward awarded a certificate of merit and a reward of VND 1,500,000 to Tam; at the same time, issued a notice to find the person who lost the money to return it.
