Nghe An students won Silver Medal at Asian Physics Olympiad
(Baonghean.vn) - This is the first success of Nghe An students at the regional and international Olympic competitions in the 2020-2021 school year.
This morning (May 24), information fromPhan Boi Chau High School for the Giftedsaid: Student Bui Thanh Tan, grade 12 student, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, has just won a Silver Medal at the 2021 Asia-Pacific Physics Olympiad (APhO).
Olympic GamesPhysicsThe 2021 Asia-Pacific Games is hosted by Taiwan (China). This year, there are 23 delegations from countries and territories with 181 contestants. Of which, there are 5 guest delegations, with 37 contestants. To ensure the safety of the participants, the exam is held online. Covid-19 prevention and control work is carried out according to regulations of the health sector. Contestants will take a theory and practice exam, each exam lasting 300 minutes (5 hours).

With the Silver Medal of the competition, Bui Thanh Tan is also one of the 5 best candidates selected for the National team to participate in the International Physics Olympiad.
Previously, Bui Thanh Tan was also the only candidate from Nghe An to win the National First Prize in Physics this school year and the National Second Prize in Excellent Student in grade 11. Tan studied at secondary school in Cua Lo town and was a hard-working student who knew how to overcome his circumstances.
