At the exam site of Huynh Thuc Khang High School, where many excellent students from Vinh City participated, it can be seen that the students were quite relaxed after completing the first exam.

Speaking about this year's exam, candidate Tran Phuc Tho said: The exam was quite long compared to the 120-minute duration. However, I really like this exam because it covers the knowledge of the textbook and also helps students demonstrate their own abilities and opinions.

This year's Literature exam consists of two parts: Reading Comprehension (2 points) and Writing (8 points).

In the first part, the exam excerpts a passage from the article "We ourselves are available values" by author Pham Lu An:“You may not be naturally intelligent, but you are always diligent and surpass yourself every day. You do not have a beautiful face, but you are very good at tying a tie for your father and cooking very well. Surely, each of us is born with inherent values. And you, more than anyone else, before anyone else, must know yourself and recognize those values.”

According to many candidates, the data for this test is not available in textbooks. But this is not a "strange" test, and many candidates have even studied for this test.

Commenting on her essay, contestant Nguyen Thi Quynh Tam said: The exam required candidates to state the main idea of ​​the excerpt and this was not a difficult question. Personally, I think that each person is born as an independent individual and has their own strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, instead of being self-conscious, we must be proud of what we have and know how to promote our strengths.

Regarding the writing section, the question "Don't be ashamed of not knowing, only be ashamed of not learning" was enjoyed by many students. Candidate Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc (Le Loi Secondary School) said: "I consider this a difficult question, classifying candidates because this test is not in the textbook. To do this test, candidates must have certain knowledge and experience. I personally think that the test promotes the spirit of learning, if you don't know, don't hide your ignorance but boldly ask to find the answer."

In the first exam session, according to the Department of Education and Training, 86 candidates skipped the exam, and 1 candidate violated the rules by bringing documents into the exam room at the Hoang Mai High School exam site.

Commenting on the exam, teacher Tran Thi Hong Hanh - Literature teacher (Ly Nhat Quang Secondary School - Do Luong) said: This year's exam is good, suitable, closely following the structure prescribed by the Department. The exam not only gets points for students, but also encourages students' creative thinking, especially the social argumentation question. Question 1 in the Writing section discusses the issue "don't be ashamed of not knowing, only be ashamed of not studying" is a question with an open, creative structure, helping students have the opportunity to be creative in developing the problem and implementing the essay. In addition, the exam covers the curriculum (in the Writing section), creating an open way for students to choose.

To do well on this test, in my opinion, students need to master the test structure to have a reasonable amount of time to do the test, master the skills to do each part and each type of test, and master the work.

However, to get high scores, students need to know how to develop their qualities, be proficient in knowledge, skills and presentation, and have a lot of social knowledge.
