Students from Phan High School (Nghe An) participate in the Asian Informatics Olympiad.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 6th, a farewell ceremony for Le Anh Duc, a student participating in the 2016 Asian Informatics Olympiad, was held at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.
Representatives from the Provincial People's Committee Office, the Department of Education and Training, teachers, and the Alumni Association of Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School in Nghe An attended the event, presenting flowers and gifts to congratulate Le Anh Duc.

In the 2014-2015 school year, Duc, a student in class 11 A2, won second prize in the national Informatics competition and was selected to participate in the 2015 Asian Informatics Olympiad for gifted students. In the 2015-2016 school year, he was granted special entry into the second round of the selection exam for the international Informatics Olympiad for gifted students and became one of the 15 members of the Vietnamese team participating in the 2016 Asian Informatics Olympiad for gifted students.

The 2016 Asian Informatics Olympiad, hosted by South Korea, will take place on May 7, 2016. Contestants will take the exam online from their respective countries, and each delegation will select the six highest-scoring entries for consideration for awards.
To date, Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School has had 34 students participate in international and regional competitions in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Informatics, and Russian, winning 7 Gold Medals, 9 Silver Medals, 7 Bronze Medals, and 2 Certificates of Merit. |
