Quynh Luu District War Veterans Association presents houses of gratitude to comrades

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 18, the Association of War Veterans of Quynh Luu district coordinated with the Association of War Veterans of Ngoc Son commune to organize a ceremony to hand over a house of solidarity to war veteran Ho Trinh Phuong (Hamlet 5, Ngoc Son).

Veteran Ho Trinh Phuong, born in 1960, is a member of a particularly disadvantaged household in the locality. He himself once performed international duties in Laos.

The family of veteran Ho Trinh Phuong lives in a small, dilapidated house that cannot be repaired or rebuilt. In addition, for more than 2 years now, his wife has been sick and bedridden, all of her personal activities mainly depend on his care, and her children all work far away.

Representative of the Veterans Association presented a souvenir to veteran Ho Trinh Phuong.

With the philosophy of "remembering the source of the water you drink", the District Fatherland Front Committee and the Veterans Association of Quynh Luu District donated 20 million VND to support the family of veteran Ho Trinh Phuong.

With the help of the Commune Veterans Association and the Village 5 Veterans Association, Ngoc Son Commune contributed money and labor to the family to start building a 2-room tiled roof house, with an area of ​​42 square meters. After nearly 4 months of construction, the house has been completed, with a total value of 55 million VND.

The house put into use is a gift and has great meaning for the family of veteran Ho Trinh Phuong to help the family overcome difficulties and gradually improve in life.
