Besides exhibiting and showcasing products, the fair is also an opportunity for businesses to expand cooperative relationships, and at the same time, it serves as a bridge between production and consumption, strengthening trade relations, fostering cooperation, linkages, investment, promoting brands and products, expanding the domestic market and developing exports in the current trend of regional and international integration. This year's "Vietnam Product Recognition Week 2015 - Proud of Vietnamese Products" exhibition features over 330 booths from various businesses, corporations, and many large, reputable domestic enterprises, divided into many different product categories such as: handicrafts, processed foods, essential goods, agricultural products, high-tech agriculture, textiles, machinery, electrical and electronic products, etc.
At the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai stated that after six years of implementation, the campaign has achieved many positive results. According to surveys, 92% of Vietnamese consumers are very interested in the campaign; 63% of consumers have stated they will prioritize using Vietnamese goods; and 54% of consumers recommend that their relatives buy Vietnamese goods. This shows that Vietnamese goods are increasingly gaining a trusted and significant position in the hearts of consumers.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, said that Ho Chi Minh City has implemented many synchronized and effective programs on Vietnamese goods, building trust and consumer habits among the people, contributing to the formation of a beautiful consumer culture of Vietnamese people in the process of integration.
Ms. Hong believes that the "Vietnam Product Recognition Week - Proud of Vietnamese Products" program is a good opportunity for businesses to inform, introduce, and promote their products, and for consumers to have more opportunities to access Vietnamese goods.
