Nghe An Retired Teachers Association actively participates in promoting learning and talent
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 6, Nghe An Retired Teachers Association held a conference to summarize the association's work in 2016 and deploy tasks for 2017.
The Association of Retired Teachers is a professional social association, gathering members who are retired teachers. Currently, the association has nearly 18,000 members, accounting for over 93.5% of teachers in the province. In 2016, the association had many meaningful activities, in which the most prominent activity was taking care of the material and spiritual life of its members.

In addition, promoting the capacity, intelligence and good qualities of teachers, the association has actively participated in propaganda work, implementing major campaigns of the industry and the association. In particular, the association has actively participated in activities to encourage learning, encourage talents, and build a collective society at the grassroots level. From this movement, many typical examples have emerged in mobilizing and socializing to support poor, lonely, and disabled students, organizing classes to prevent grade repetition, tutoring for weak students, and dropouts.

In 2017, the Nghe An Retired Teachers Association launched a movement to compete for achievements to welcome the 3rd Congress of the Retired Teachers Association. In addition, the association has also developed an action program, focusing on building and developing the association, taking care of the lives of members, and mobilizing members to be exemplary in participating in social work and local movements.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Association of Former Teachers recognized the Nghe An Association of Former Teachers as a strong grassroots association of former teachers and awarded certificates of merit to 5 grassroots associations of former teachers. The Provincial Association of Former Teachers also awarded certificates of merit to 64 groups and 91 individuals with outstanding achievements in association activities in 2016.
