(Baonghean.vn) - According to Ria Novosti on February 14, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Mikhail Popov said that the question of an "accidental" nuclear war caused by the US is now being mentioned more and more, especially issues related to President Joe Biden's memory.

"This question is becoming more and more urgent. Especially after the special prosecutor Robert Hur published a report investigating the US President's handling of classified documents. The prosecutor described the US President as "an elderly person with a poor memory, in many cases having difficulty remembering basic events and details" - Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Mikhail Popov shared in an interview.

Mr. Popov noted that President Joe Biden is the only person in the US who can order a nuclear strike.

In the context of the chaotic and tense domestic politics in the US, the cost of mismanagement has increased significantly. The Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council believes that "it will not be long before it becomes a global catastrophe".

According to Mr. Popov, the thinking that the control of US nuclear weapons is in a state of uncertainty. Even the US nuclear shield has basically cracked, after the secret hospitalization of the head of the Pentagon Lloyd Austin.

“The Defense Minister was absent, and no one knew where he was or who would replace him. The press wrote that part of his responsibilities were assigned to Deputy Secretary Kathleen Hicks. But she was on vacation in Puerto Rico at that time,” the Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council pointed out.

In Mr. Popov's opinion, in the situation where the US Secretary of Defense is hospitalized, there must be a sense of responsibility and duty, because the US is a country with nuclear weapons, and always considers itself the world's hegemon.

On February 8, special prosecutor Robert Hur released a 388-page report on President Joe Biden, 81, handling classified documents. What attracted attention in the report was that special prosecutor Hur said he discovered that President Biden could not remember his time as US Vice President under Barack Obama and the day his son Beau died of cancer in 2015.

Hur explained the reason for not prosecuting Mr. Biden was that the jury would not want to convict him because they felt he was "an elderly man with poor memory and good intentions"./.
