The Vinh City Youth Union Council presented gifts to 30 disadvantaged students.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 25th, the Vinh City Youth Union Council organized a gift-giving ceremony for 30 students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have excelled in their studies.

This activity is part of the "Warm Winter and Spring Volunteer Program 2015" aimed at raising funds to donate warm clothes, books, and school supplies to disadvantaged students in the city and schools in Tuong Duong district. In nearly a month of implementing the Warm Winter program, the entire city raised 8 million VND in cash, 340 new warm jackets, and over 2,000 notebooks and school supplies. The City Youth Union Council allocated funds from the donations to present 30 gift packages, each worth 500,000 VND (including cash and a warm jacket), to students in 15 primary and secondary schools in the suburbs.

This is an annual activity maintained by the city's Youth Council to encourage children to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies. During the 2014-2015 school year, the city's Youth Council also donated two gifts to students with serious illnesses at Nghi An Primary School.
