Nghe An compatriots in Taiwan meet to welcome the New Year of the Dog

After 6 years of establishment, the Nghe An Association in Taiwan has continuously grown in both organizational scale and number of members, with many exciting cultural, sports and social activities in the Vietnamese community.

In the friendly atmosphere of the meeting, everyone listened to the representative of the Association's Liaison Committee give a general report on the activities and achievements of the Association in the past time. Particularly emphasizing the role of the Association in organizing meetings, exchanges, organizing sports activities, especially football tournaments, charity activities, donations, and gift giving to help fellow countrymen in distress and families in poor circumstances in their homeland.

To preserve and promote the tradition, the Association has reorganized, selected and elected outstanding members who are enthusiastic about the movement into the new liaison committee to run the Association's activities. Ms. Nguyen Hong Thanh (from Nghia Dan) was elected as President, Mr. Phan Trung Duc and Nguyen Van Truong (from Thanh Chuong) were elected as Vice Presidents.

Within the framework of the meeting, the Association also conducted a draw and divided the tables for the 3rd Song Lam Nghe An Open Football Tournament on the occasion of the Mau Tuat Spring; enjoyed cultural exchange and culinary festival.

The Nghe An Association in Taiwan has been a bridge for thousands of Nghe An children studying and working in Taiwan; promoting the traditions of their homeland, uniting and helping each other in life abroad.
