Nghe An Association in Taiwan holds annual meeting

(Baonghean.vn) - On June 19 in Taichung - Taiwan, Nghe An Association held its annual meeting in 2016 with more than 100 participants.

The Nghe An Association in Taiwan was established in 2012 with 61 members. Up to now, the Association has gathered more than 300 members who are Nghe An people studying, working and living throughout Taiwan.

At the meeting, Mr. Tran Sy Hoa - Chairman of the Nghe An Association in Taiwan read a report highlighting the activities and achievements of the Association in the past time. After 4 years of establishment, the Nghe An Association is a strong association in a foreign land, becoming a center of solidarity and connecting the feelings of Nghe An people far from home. The Association plays a role in organizing meetings and exchanges between members, football tournaments between children of districts, activities to celebrate Tet and Spring, activities to protect the sovereignty of seas and islands, charity music nights, etc. The Association has raised hundreds of millions of VND to send to support families with children in distress in Taiwan and to help those in difficult circumstances in their homeland.

Within the framework of the warm meeting of fellow countrymen, the Association organized the program "Singing about the homeland of Nghe An" with First, Second and Third prizes for the winners, launched the Football Club of the Nghe An Association in Taiwan: FC Choa Dan 37 Taiwan, organized a birthday party for some members and a reunion party.

The Nghe An Association in Taiwan has been a bridge for thousands of Nghe An children studying and working in Taiwan, promoting the tradition of solidarity, mutual support and looking towards their homeland.
