Nghe An Association in Hanoi gives support to flood victims in Tuong Duong commune
On August 13, a working delegation of the Nghe An Association in Hanoi led by Major General, Writer Nguyen Hong Thai - Former Editor-in-Chief of the People's Police Magazine, Vice Chairman of the Association and Major General Le Thanh Hung - Former Director of Department B02, representative of former Nghe An police officers in Hanoi, went to Tuong Duong commune (Nghe An province) to present gifts to support families that suffered heavy losses due to floods.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 70 gifts including rice and essential necessities to former police officers, veterans, youth volunteers and people directly affected by the recent floods. This is a timely sharing, helping people to ease their difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
The delegation also visited and presented gifts to three families of former police officers who had made great contributions to ensuring border security and grassroots order; and encouraged police officers of Tuong Duong commune who suffered great losses in the flood; each gift was worth 3 million VND.
The program not only provides material support, but also demonstrates the solidarity, the spirit of “comradeship”, “fellowship” of the generals, People’s Police Heroes and the children of Nghe An who are far from home, always turning to their homeland in times of difficulty and hardship. The total value of the gifts is over 60 million VND.
The local government representative also expressed deep gratitude to Major General Nguyen Hong Thai and the Nghe An Association in Hanoi, and affirmed that this gesture contributed to spreading the spirit of "helping each other", fostering the tradition of solidarity and humanity of Nghe An homeland.
