Central Theoretical Council: Nghe An needs economic breakthrough solutions

On the morning of November 21, the Central Theoretical Council delegation led by Prof. Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan - Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council had a working session with Nghe An province on the implementation of the basic goals and directions in the Platform for National Construction in the Transitional Period to Socialism (Supplemented and Developed in 2011). After nearly 10 years of implementing the Platform for National Construction in the Transitional Period to Socialism along with the implementation of Resolution 26 of the 11th Politburo on the development direction of Nghe An province to 2020, Nghe An has had many changes, the infrastructure is increasingly complete, gradually becoming the connecting center of the North Central region.
Many criteria for industrial provinces are quite good, such as: proportion of industry, construction and services (79.5%); urbanization rate (32%); rate of trained labor (59%). Compared to the northern provinces, Nghe An is 1/15 provinces with a fairly good growth rate and in the group of 10 provinces with high budget revenue.
Discussing at the meeting, one of the issues that the delegation of the Central Theoretical Council was interested in and asked Nghe An to clarify was the breakthrough solution for economic development. The province's orientation is to transform the economic growth model in the coming time.

Clarifying the issues the working delegation was concerned about regarding economic development, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Thanh Dien affirmed: The province determined that this was an extremely important task, so Nghe An clearly defined the province's economic development strategy for each economic region, key industry and profession.
“Developing agriculture, focusing on restructuring the agricultural sector. Improving the investment and business environment, enhancing the efficiency of attracting investment, developing the private economy and enterprises. At the same time, mobilizing and effectively using resources to invest in building synchronous infrastructure, creating momentum for socio-economic development. However, the province is determined not to trade the environment for development” - the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized.

To help Nghe An province successfully implement the Platform for National Construction and Resolution 26 of the Politburo on the direction and tasks for Nghe An province's development until 2020. Nghe An proposed that the Politburo issue a conclusion on continuing to focus on leading and directing the implementation of Resolution 26 of the Politburo; continue to direct the Central Committees, Ministries and branches to deploy the contents and tasks that have been concluded by the leaders of the Party, State and Government for Nghe An province; the province proposed that the Central consider and support additional resources to invest in infrastructure development, socio-economic development and the lives of people in the Western region of Nghe An.
At the meeting, the delegation exchanged and discussed to clarify the limitations as well as proposed a number of solutions related to the implementation of the Platform in the field of personnel work, organizational arrangement, streamlining of staff according to Resolution 6 of the Central Committee (term XII), strengthening the political system, religious work. Speaking at the meeting, comrade Ta Ngoc Tan acknowledged the efforts and achievements of Nghe An in recent times.
Affirming the fact-finding survey in Nghe An and localities nationwide to serve the Summary of the National Construction Platform and assist the Party Central Committee, the Secretariat, and the Politburo in drafting documents for the 13th National Party Congress.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council assessed that the Central Theoretical Council's survey and research to serve the Platform Summary is a good opportunity for the province to continue researching and applying theories and practical experiences to local work in a more creative, flexible and effective way.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee hopes that the results of research and surveys from the reality in Nghe An will contribute to helping the Central Theoretical Council better fulfill its assigned responsibilities.
