Nghe An Provincial People's Council will vote of confidence for 31 positions

This is the content discussed by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council at the meeting on the afternoon of October 26.

Also attending were Mr. Hoang Viet Duong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Culture and Social Affairs Department; Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the People's Court and the Provincial People's Procuracy.

Accordingly, the subjects of voting according to Resolution No. 85/2014/QH13, dated November 28, 2014 of the National Assembly, include: Chairman, Vice Chairman of the People's Council, Heads of Committees and Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Council; Chairman, Vice Chairmen and members of the Provincial People's Committee who are directors of departments.

Pursuant to Resolution No. 85, 35 people holding positions held by the Provincial People's Council were given a vote of confidence.

However, according to Instruction No. 321/HD-UBTVQH14, dated October 2, 2018 of the National Assembly Standing Committee, there are 4 people elected by the Provincial People's Council but due to the time of holding the position continuously less than 9 months from the opening date of the session to organize the vote of confidence of the Provincial People's Council.

Thus, it is expected that at the annual meeting at the end of 2018 (the 8th meeting), the Provincial People's Council will take a vote of confidence for 31 people holding positions elected by the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2016 - 2021.

Secret ballot with 3 levels: high confidence, confidence and low confidence.

The purpose of taking a vote of confidence is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the supervision activities of the Provincial People's Council; help those who are voted for to see their level of trust to continue to strive, practice their qualities and abilities to better perform their roles and responsibilities in the assigned tasks; serve as a basis for competent agencies and organizations to consider, evaluate, arrange and use cadres.
