Nghi Loc Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims supports members with 1.3 billion VND
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 15, the Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims of Nghi Loc district held the 2nd Congress of Delegates for the 2015-2020 term with the participation of 142 delegates representing nearly 1,000 association members in the entire district.
Attending the event were comrade Dinh Xuan Tu - Chairman of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin of Nghe An province.
During the past term, with the attention and direction of superiors, the Nghi Loc District Association of Agent Orange Victims has focused on innovating the content and methods of operation, and taking care of the development of grassroots associations. Up to now, the whole district has mobilized the establishment of 29 grassroots associations and 86 sub-associations in villages and hamlets, which have been operating in an orderly and effective manner and attracted nearly 1,000 members.

In order to share and help Agent Orange victims, over the past 5 years, the District Association has promoted propaganda and mobilized agencies, businesses, and kind-hearted individuals to donate nearly 1.3 billion VND. From this amount, the District Association has organized gift giving, supported production development, and house renovation for members in especially difficult circumstances.
In the coming time, Nghi Loc district association will continue to do a good job of developing members, strengthen coordination with agencies, departments, branches, and organizations at the district level to promote extensive propaganda work in many forms to help the whole society better understand the activities of the association so that they can join hands to donate and help members to ease the pain of Agent Orange.
The Congress elected 23 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Nghi Loc District, term II, 2015-2020.
Also at the congress, nearly 20 individuals and groups received certificates of merit from all levels for their outstanding achievements in the association's work during the 2010-2015 term./.
