Conference of Chiefs of Staff of Provincial and Municipal Party Committees of Northern Provinces

(Baonghean.vn)On the morning of July 15, 2014, in Cua Lo town, the Central Party Office organized the 2014 Conference of Chiefs of Provincial and City Party Offices of the Northern provinces. Comrade Tran Quoc Vuong, Secretary of the Central Party Committee and Chief of the Central Party Office, chaired the conference. Also attending were the Chiefs of Provincial and City Party Offices of 28 northern provinces.

Attending the conference on behalf of Nghe An province were: Mr. Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; and Mr. Tran Cong Duong - Member of the Standing Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office.

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - delivered a welcoming speech at the conference.

Following the opening remarks by the Organizing Committee, on behalf of the leaders of Nghe An province, Comrade Ho Duc Phoc, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, delivered a welcoming speech, introducing some basic aspects of Nghe An's socio-economic situation in the first six months of the year, and some major development orientations of the province until 2020; he highly appreciated the practical significance of the conference for the preparation of Party congresses at all levels, leading up to the 12th National Party Congress.

Comrade Tran Quoc Vuong, Chief of the Central Party Office, opened the proceedings and provided guidance on drafting documents for the 12th National Party Congress.

Next, on behalf of the Central Party Office, Comrade Tran Quoc Vuong informed about some of the Party's major viewpoints, policies, and orientations in accurately assessing the country's situation during the drafting of the documents for the 12th National Congress; some difficulties and the situation in the country and the region during the preparation for the Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term; and the Party and State's views on setting growth targets to develop the economy, improve people's lives, and maintain peace and friendship with countries in the region and around the world...

Delegates attending the conference

At the conference, delegates received guidance from representatives of the Central Party Office on the professional skills required for writing political reports and self-criticism reports of Party committees to be presented at provincial and city Party congresses for the 2015-2020 term. The focus was on editing documents for the congresses, assessing the implementation of socio-economic goals, Party building and internal affairs; orientations, policies, and solutions for socio-economic development over the next five years; the purpose, requirements, and scope of self-criticism reports on the leadership and direction of the City and Provincial Party Committees; and how to determine the themes, key points, and goals for each level during the term…

Under the direction of the Organizing Committee, the conference will dedicate one session to discussing and exchanging experiences on a number of specific issues and situations arising during the process of drafting documents and political reports for the congress.
