The conference observed a minute of silence to remember the victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris on November 13.

After a minute of silence, the discussions began with a speech by Peruvian Environment Minister Manuel Pulgar-Vidal, who moderated the 2014 conference's discussions, stressing that a climate agreement was the best way to overcome the horror of the recent terrorist attacks.

French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, President of COP-21, said the goal of the conference is to reach an ambitious agreement that all countries agree on.

Previously on November 25, information from the organizing committee of the COP-21 Conference said that this conference will open on November 29, one day earlier than expected.

Meanwhile, the official opening session with the participation of heads of state and government will still be held on November 30 as scheduled./.
