Expanded Scientific Conference on Obstetrics and Pediatrics in Nghe An Province

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 26th, at Cua Lo town, Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital organized an expanded scientific conference on Obstetrics and Pediatrics.

Attending from the central government were Professor Dr. Nguyen Cong Khanh – President of the Vietnam Pediatric Association, and Associate Professor Dr. Vu Ba Quyet – Director of the Central Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital. From Nghe An province, attendees included Mr. Dinh Viet Hong – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives from relevant departments and agencies, and hospital leaders from 13 provinces and cities nationwide.

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, delivered a speech at the conference.

This conference serves as a forum for doctors from the province and across the country to exchange experiences and new research findings in pediatrics. The event features 20 presentations on improving treatment effectiveness at hospitals, as well as on specialized areas in obstetrics and pediatrics such as: disease risk and immune development in children born via cesarean section; diagnosis and treatment of patent ductus arteriosus in premature infants; and evaluation of the effectiveness of combined obstetric-pediatric care at the Obstetrics Department of Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital…

At the conference, delegates also focused on analyzing and learning from common mistakes and limitations in the field of obstetrics and pediatrics, a field with unusual complications that are difficult to diagnose and predict.

The valuable knowledge gained from the conference will help obstetricians and pediatricians apply it in practice, minimize professional errors, implement advanced techniques, and resolve difficult pediatric cases, thereby improving the quality of medical care.
