On the evening of November 11, the Central Endocrine - Diabetes Association, Nghe An Department of Health, Nghe An Endocrine Hospital jointly organized the 13th Central - Central Highlands Expanded Scientific Conference on Endocrine Diseases, Diabetes and Metabolic Disorders in 2022. The scientific conference took place over 2 days, November 11-12, with the theme of Endocrine Diseases, Diabetes and Metabolic Disorders in the post-Covid-19 period.

Attending the conference were leaders of the Vietnam Endocrine - Diabetes Association, Vietnam Cardiology Association, Vietnam Rheumatology Association; representatives of the Department of Health of provinces and cities, Endocrine hospitals nationwide; and 1,000 delegates from hospitals, medical centers, disease control centers, medical universities in the Central - Central Highlands region and nationwide.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of Nghe An Department of Health; leaders of medical units in the province.

Scientific Conference on Endocrinology,Diabetesand Central Highlands Metabolic Disorders Extension is a traditional specialized scientific conference, gathering domestic and international experts in Endocrinology and Diabetes.

Speaking at the opening of the scientific conference, Professor, Doctor Nguyen Hai Thuy - President of the Central Endocrinology - Diabetes Association stated: The conference is a valuable opportunity for professors, doctors, scientists, and doctors to meet, exchange, and learn experiences to improve their professional qualifications in medical examination and treatment. It is also an opportunity for experts inside and outside the field to discuss and propose solutions to complex problems related to the fields of endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolic disorders in the post-Covid-19 period.

This conference, in addition to the meaning of spreading scientific knowledge, also conveys the message of all medical staff specializing in Endocrinology in response to "World Diabetes Day" this year.

At the scientific conference, professors, doctors, and leading experts in endocrinology and metabolism across the country reported to delegates 150 topics and the latest scientific research topics in the field of diabetes and metabolic disorders.

In the field of diabetes and prediabetes, including: Updates on diagnosis, monitoring, and selection of new drugs in the treatment of diabetes in adults; introduction of new technologies in the treatment of diabetes; management of complications in diabetic patients; cardiovascular risk factors, diabetic retinopathy, renal complications, neurological complications; treatment and prevention of progression in prediabetes patients... In addition, the reporters also presented updates on diabetes treatment in some special subjects such as children and the elderly.
