G7 Summit officially opens

At exactly 1:50 p.m. today (May 26, Japan time), the 42nd G7 Summit officially opened in Ise Shiama, Mie Prefecture, Japan, with the participation of the heads of state of 7 countries: Japan, UK, Germany, USA, France, Italy, and Canada.
Also attending were European Council President Donald Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.

Earlier this morning (May 26), Prime Minister Abe and other leaders of the G7 countries visited the Ise Shrine in Mie before attending the opening session.
The conference will have 7 discussion sessions on groups of issues such as global economy, foreign policy... Issues such as climate change, biodiversity, immigration, the gap between rich and poor... will also be discussed, but the main topic will focus on discussing measures to deal with the world economy falling into recession.
The conference will also discuss the East Sea issue, the situation in Russia and Ukraine.
Meanwhile, at exactly 2 p.m. (Japan time), the Vietnamese plane carrying Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc arrived at Nagoya Airport, Japan. The Prime Minister will attend the G7 Summit in Mie, Japan, from May 26-28, at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
Attending the expanded G7 Summit were the Prime Ministers and Presidents of 7 countries: Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Papua New Guinea and Chad./.
