Ky Son Farmers' Association: Commends 53 households of outstanding farmers in production and business.

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of July 30th, the Ky Son District Farmers' Association held a conference to review the first six months of the year, combined with a summary of the Farmers' Movement for excellent production and business, solidarity, mutual assistance to get rich and sustainable poverty reduction during the 2012-2014 period.

Overview of the conference

During the period 2012-2014, the average number of members and farmers at all levels in Ky Son district registering for the "Excellent Farmer in Production and Business" emulation program reached 421 households annually, accounting for 23.4% of the total number of farmer households in the district. Through the summary of the movement at the grassroots level during the 2012-2014 period, 768 households were recognized as meeting the criteria for excellent production and business at various levels (accounting for 41.5% of registered households). Of these, 53 households achieved the provincial-level "Excellent Farmer in Production and Business" title, and 5 households achieved the central-level "Excellent Farmer in Production and Business" title. Many localities had a high number of registered and awarded "Excellent Farmer in Production and Business" titles, such as My Ly, Ta Ca, Muong Long, Huoi Tu, Tay Son, Huu Kiem, Na Ngoi, Chieu Luu communes and Muong Xen town.

The quality and effectiveness of the movement are constantly improving, with the emergence of many households with large-scale production, business capital exceeding 500 million VND, employing dozens of workers, and earning annual incomes ranging from 50 million VND to hundreds of millions VND. Many exemplary farmers have refused to accept poverty and hunger, determined to rise above difficulties and challenges, leveraging local advantages and exploiting all potential in land, labor, and capital to develop effective production models, becoming successful business households. Typical examples include the households of Mr. La Van Toan, Vi Van Dung, La Van Phuc, and Lo Van Thang (Ta Ca commune); Mr. Nguyen Van Luan, Mr. Lo Khac Loi, Ms. La Thi An, and Ms. Lo Thi Lien (Muong Xen town); Mr. Ho Ga Vu and Lau Phai Da (Huoi Tu commune)... They have exploited the advantages of hilly and forested land to develop large-scale livestock and poultry farming models, earning hundreds of millions of VND per year.

At the conference, the Executive Committee of the District Farmers' Association awarded Certificates of Commendation to 53 exemplary farming households, and also issued certificates recognizing outstanding farming households at the district level.
