Nghe An Farmers' Association joins in 'rescuing' agricultural products

However, the output of green squash in the area is facing many difficulties. It is known that before starting to build the model, there was a business that committed to purchasing this agricultural product, however, due to the influence of many factors, the purchase could not take place as planned.

Faced with that situation, the Provincial Farmers' AssociationNghe Anhas directed all levels of the association to join hands to support people in consuming green squash. The Con Cuong District Farmers' Association has promoted and announced on social networking sites such as Facebook, Zalo... mobilizing farmers' associations of communes to register to buy green squash for people of Mon Son commune.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Sy - Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Con Cuong district said: After only a few days of calling, 13 communes and towns in the district have registered to buy green squash. Up to today (May 31), the Farmers' Association has joined hands to buy over 60 tons of squash for people at the price of 5,000 VND/kg. At the same time, the association is also strengthening its connections, calling on more organizations and benefactors to continue to purchase the remaining green squash for people.

In Thanh Chuong district, squash is also one of the agricultural products that is difficult to sell due to the impact of the epidemic situation as well as supply exceeding demand. Currently, Thanh Chuong district has 8 hectares of squash concentrated in Thanh Lien, Thanh Linh, and Thanh Tien communes.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Khanh - Chairman of Thanh Chuong District Farmers' Association said: Following the direction of the provincial association, we have mobilized 38 grassroots farmers' associations to join hands to buy green squash for the people of the district. Up to now, 6 tons have been purchased and the quantity will increase in the coming time.

However, according to the leader of the Farmers' Association of Nghe An province, rescuing agricultural products is only a temporary solution.
