Women's Union of the provincial Military Command, giving gifts to the Women's Union of Nghi Van commune

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 17, at the Cultural House Hall of Hamlet 6, Nghi Van Commune, the Women's Union of Nghe An Provincial Military Command organized the signing of a twinning agreement program with the Women's Union of Nghi Van Commune, Nghi Loc District.

Attending the ceremony were Lieutenant Colonel Thai Duc Hanh, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command; leaders of Nghi Loc district and Nghi Van commune; Priest Hoang Trong Hieu - parish priest of Bo Son parish; and many women's union members of the commune.

Nghi Van is a purely agricultural commune, currently over 75% of households are Catholics belonging to Bo Son Parish and Thuong Loc Parish. The Commune Women's Union currently has 16 branches with more than 1,250 members. At the ceremony, the Provincial Military Command Women's Union and Nghi Van Commune Women's Union signed a twinning program to coordinate activities in the coming time.

Accordingly, the two units will strengthen the organization of traditional education and propaganda activities, exchange experiences in association activities, cultural and sports exchanges, visit and encourage female members in difficult circumstances, and social security activities for community life...

Lieutenant Colonel Thai Duc Hanh, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command and leaders of Nghi Loc district presented gifts to women's union members of Nghi Van commune in difficult circumstances.

After the signing ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Thai Duc Hanh presented 22 cash gifts (each worth 500,000 VND) to 22 women members from families with meritorious services, poor households, and women members who are often sick. The gifts were contributed by the Women's Union of Military Region 4, the Women's Union of the Provincial Military Command, and the Women's Union of Nghi Loc district. On this occasion, the Provincial Military Command allocated 30 million VND from the "Personal savings fund for the needy" to give 3 breeding cows (worth 10 million VND each) to 3 women members with especially difficult circumstances in the commune.

On this occasion, the delegation of the Provincial Military Command visited and presented gifts to the Center for the care of disabled and orphaned children in Bo Son Parish. The Women's Union of Military Region 4 and the Women's Union of the Provincial Military Command presented the center with 3 million VND and gifts to help mothers have better conditions to raise and care for their children.

Speaking at the ceremony, Father Hoang Trong Hieu, parish priest of Bo Son Parish, expressed the joy, gratitude, and affection of the parishioners for the twinning activities of the two women's associations and the care, sharing, and help of the Provincial Military Command for families in difficult circumstances in the commune.
