Scientific workshop "Comrade Ha Huy Tap and Party building work"

On April 12, 2016, commemorating the 110th birthday of General Secretary Ha Huy Tap (April 24, 1906 - April 24, 2016), Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee coordinated with Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to organize a scientific seminar with the theme: "Comrade Ha Huy Tap and Party building work".

Comrade Le Dinh Son, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province and Associate Professor, Dr. Le Quoc Ly, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics co-chaired the Workshop.

Comrade Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of Ha Tinh departments and branches and nearly 200 scholars and researchers attended the Workshop.

General Secretary Ha Huy Tap is one of the typical communist veterans, a loyal and indomitable General Secretary of the Party. He has strived and sacrificed tirelessly for the revolutionary ideal, for the independence and freedom of the nation and the happiness of the people. Although he has passed away, his views on Party building still carry the breath of the times, have profound theoretical and practical values, especially in the spirit of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (11th tenure) "Some urgent issues on Party building at present" and Resolution of the 12th National Congress of the Party.

21 presentations at the workshop clarified the role of Comrade Ha Huy Tap in Party building work on five issues: Comrade Ha Huy Tap in building the Party's guidelines; Comrade Ha Huy Tap in building the Party organization and Party members; Comrade Ha Huy Tap in building and improving the Party's theoretical level; Comrade Ha Huy Tap in the struggle to protect unity within the Party; Comrade Ha Huy Tap in building a close relationship between the Party and the people....

Also prominent were the presentations: "Promoting the revolutionary spirit of comrade Ha Huy Tap, the Party Committee and people of Ha Tinh are determined to build their homeland increasingly prosperous" by Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Nam Hong; "Learning from the example of General Secretary Ha Huy Tap, the Ha Tinh Party Committee regularly pays attention to and takes care of political and ideological education" by Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Dang Quoc Vinh; "Cam Xuyen homeland learns and promotes the revolutionary spirit of comrade Ha Huy Tap" by Secretary of the District Party Committee Dang Quoc Cuong; "Ha Tinh youth learns and follows the example of General Secretary Ha Huy Tap" by Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Nguyen The Hoan...

Summarizing the workshop, comrade Le Dinh Son affirmed that the organization of the workshop is an opportunity for us to review his life, career, fighting example, sacrifice and great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and our nation, especially in the work of Party building. His loyalty is a shining example of the fighting spirit of a revolutionary soldier with a passion for the country; draw lessons in leadership, building and defending the country; and highlight the responsibility of cadres, party members and party organizations in improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party in the current period.

Honored and proud to be the birthplace of the General Secretary, following the steadfast revolutionary example of comrade Ha Huy Tap and other martyrs, cadres and people of Cam Xuyen district in particular and Ha Tinh province in general vow to strive to compete in labor production, contributing to building the homeland and country to become increasingly prosperous and civilized.
