America is going through a period of sadness, when at least 59 people died and more than 527 people were injured in a shooting that took place on the famous casino boulevard in Las Vegas, USA.
This caused famous Hollywood film studios and entertainment companies including Warner Bros. Pictures, Sony Pictures and Alcon Entertainment to cancel the red carpet premiere of the movie Blade Runner 2049.
"We are deeply saddened and send our prayers to all the victims and those affected by this tragedy," a representative said on Monday.
Along with that, Open Road Films also made a similar move with the film Marshall. The work of black director Reginald Hudlin tells the story of the youth of Thurgood Marshall (1908-1993), a leader in the civil rights movement in the US in the 20th century.

The Marshall biopic will officially premiere on October 13. |
The press conference was scheduled to take place at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. With only a few hours left to receive journalists and media guests, the representative of Open Road was forced to make an announcement: "Today is a day of national mourning. We have decided to cancel tonight's premiere."
The event will be replaced by a small screening for the cast, crew and invited guests, the spokesperson said. "Our thoughts are with the tragedy in Las Vegas, the families there and the victims affected."
The shooting took place at the Mandalay Bay casino on Las Vegas Boulevard, famous for its casinos. Flights at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas were suspended after reports of the shooting.
The massacre is considered the bloodiest in history - surpassing the 49 people killed in the Orlando shooting last year. The entertainment industry also postponed many activities to mourn the victims.
