Forecast: Due to the influence of a cold front combined with wind convergence up to 5000m, today and tonight (April 17th) in Northern Vietnam there will be moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing very heavy rain. The total rainfall is expected to be 80-120mm/period, with some areas exceeding 150mm/period. In the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh, there will be showers and thunderstorms in many places, with localized heavy to very heavy rain in the western mountainous areas.
