Today RON 95 gasoline price may increase slightly

According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the average price of A92 gasoline in the Singapore market in this cycle is about 86 USD per barrel, down 3% compared to the previous cycle. Meanwhile, A95 is also approaching an average of 89.5 USD per barrel, up 1% (previously 88.6 USD per barrel).

According to petroleum businesses, gasoline prices have been fluctuating erratically and have been on a downward trend in recent days. Therefore, in today’s adjustment (June 7), domestic gasoline prices may remain unchanged.

“For E5 RON 92, the management agency can maintain the previous cycle's price stabilization fund to maintain the price. For RON 95, it can be adjusted to increase by 100 - 200 VND, but the operator can also require businesses to allocate more to the price stabilization fund to maintain the price,” said the leader of a major petroleum business, adding that at the end of May, gasoline prices continuously increased sharply, causing businesses to lose profits.

In the adjustment period on May 23, each liter of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 500 VND, RON 95 gasoline increased by 600 VND; diesel increased by 587 VND; kerosene was more expensive by 523 VND and each kilogram of mazut increased by 678 VND. After the adjustment, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline is no higher than 19,940 VND; RON 95 gasoline is 21,511 VND; diesel is 17,694 VND; kerosene is 16,440 VND per liter and mazut is 14,437 VND per kilogram.

Along with that, the operator increased the expenditure of the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for gasoline by 380 - 467 VND per liter; reduced the expenditure of the Fund by 100 VND per liter for kerosene. For diesel and mazut, the fund deduction level remained unchanged compared to the previous management period.
