Grade 12 students across the country have 5 days to try to register for the 2024 high school graduation exam, from April 24 to April 28.

This is the time when the Ministry of Education and Training opens the system for candidates to practice testing and register for the exam online at http://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn. The accounts and passwords for students to log in are provided by high schools.

For independent candidates, they will register directly at the exam registration unit as prescribed by the Department of Education and Training. After submitting the exam registration form, independent candidates will be given an account in the exam management system.

Candidates need to keep their account information secure by changing their password immediately after logging in. In case candidates forget their account and password, they can contact the exam registration unit to have it reissued.

After 5 days of testing, the system will delete all test registration forms to prepare for candidates to officially register for the online exam from May 2 to 5:00 p.m. on May 10. Candidates' registration information will only be recognized during the official registration period.

Section DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING......... DEPARTMENT CODE:Candidates register at the exam registration unit under the Department of Education and Training, write the name of the Department of Education and Training in the blank space, then fill in the 2 digits representing the Department of Education and Training code in the next 2 blank boxes, the Department of Education and Training code is specified by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Voucher Number:The place of registration for the exam is recorded, the candidate does not fill in this item.

Section 1, 2:Fill in the instructions on the high school graduation exam registration form.

Section 3:The candidate's place of birth only needs to clearly state the name of the province or centrally-run city. If born abroad, the candidate only needs to clearly state the name of the country (in Vietnamese). Ethnicity is recorded exactly as on the birth certificate. For foreign nationality, mark (X) in the box next to it.

Section 4:Citizen identification number, identity card number, personal identification code and passport number are written together as Citizen identification number/identity card number (CCCD/CMND) in this section. For the new model CCCD/CMND, fill in all 12 digits in the corresponding boxes; for the old model ID, fill in 9 digits in the last 9 boxes on the right, leaving the first three boxes blank.

Section 5:The province/city code, district/county code and commune/ward code for communes/wards in Region 1 will be determined by the Ministry of Education and Training only. Candidates need to look up at the place of registration to correctly enter the province/city code, district/county code, and commune/ward code where the candidate currently resides in the corresponding boxes on the right.

Candidates who do not have a permanent residence in a commune in region 1 should leave the commune code box blank. After filling in all administrative unit codes in the boxes, candidates should clearly write the name of the commune/ward, district/county, province/city in the blank line. For candidates who are in the priority category or area related to the permanent residence, it is required to confirm the time of permanent residence of over 18 months in region 1 or over 18 months in a particularly difficult commune, a commune with a particularly difficult village during high school by checking the corresponding box.

Section 6:Write the school name and address to the district/county, province/city of the school on the dotted line. Write the province code where the school is located in the first 2 boxes, write the school code in the next 3 boxes (school code is written according to the regulations of the Department of Education and Training, if the school code has 1 digit, write the first 2 boxes with the number 0, if the school code has 2 digits, write the first box with the number 0).

For candidates who are police officers or soldiers sent to take the exam for university or college admission, write the province/city code corresponding to the province where they are stationed and the high school code is 900. For candidates who have studied abroad, the years of study abroad write the province/city code corresponding to the province/city according to their permanent residence in Vietnam and the high school code is 800. Class name section: clearly write the name of the 12th grade where the student is studying (for example 12A1, 12A2,...), for independent candidates write "TDO".

Section 7:Clearly state your phone number and email. For candidates who require adjustments to their online admission registration, they need to register their mobile phone number to receive a one-time password (OTP) via text message to ensure security when registering online.

Section 8:Candidates must clearly state the contact information: full name; phone number; hamlet address (house number), village (street, alley), commune/ward, district/county, province/city. This address is also the address to receive the admission notice if the candidate is admitted.

Section 9:Candidates applying for university or college check the box.

Section 10:Candidates must mark (X) in one of the two boxes to clearly indicate whether they are studying in the high school program or the high school continuing education program.

Section 11:Candidates studying grade 12 in the 2023-2024 school year do not select this item.

Section 12:Candidates registering to take the exam at which examination council must write the name of the examination council and the examination council code prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training in the corresponding position.

Section 13:Students who are studying in grade 12 of high school at a school must submit their exam registration at that school. Other subjects must submit their exam registration at locations specified by the Department of Education and Training. The exam registration unit code must be recorded according to the instructions of the place receiving the exam registration.

Section 14:For candidates who are currently grade 12 students (not graduated from high school), they must register for the exam at point a. Candidates are not allowed to choose the component subjects at point b.

For independent candidates, depending on the purpose of the exam and the choice of subject combinations for university and college admission, they can choose the entire exam (at point a) or only choose some component subjects (at point b) as appropriate.

Candidates can only register for one combined exam (Natural Science or Social Science). Independent candidates can only register for a component exam in the same combined exam. In case independent candidates have not graduated from high school and have exams/subjects (for high school graduation recognition) from the previous year that are eligible for retention, if they want to retain any exam/subject, they must record the score of that exam/subject in section 16.

However, candidates can still choose to take the component exam/subject (which has been requested to be reserved) to get the results for university and college admission. Candidates studying under the Continuing Education program can choose the Foreign Language exam if they wish to use the Foreign Language subject in the subject group for university and college admission.

How to choose a test/component subject:Candidates registering for a particular exam/subject must mark (X) in the corresponding exam/subject box. For the Foreign Language exam, candidates must fill in the code corresponding to the specific language as follows: N1 - English; N2 - Russian; N3 - French; N4 - Chinese; N5 - German; N6 - Japanese; N7 - Korean. Candidates can only choose the component subjects in a combined exam.

Section 15:For candidates who wish to be exempted from the Foreign Language exam, they must clearly state the type of certificate that qualifies for exemption or clearly state that they are a member of the national team participating in the International Olympic Foreign Language exam according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. For the type of certificate that includes the exam score (total exam score), candidates must write the score in the "Exam score" box.

For example: Registering for exemption from the Foreign Language exam in the recognition of high school graduation or registering for admission: (Candidates write down the type of foreign language certificate that meets the requirements according to regulations or clearly state that they are a member of the national team participating in the International Olympic competition in Foreign Languages ​​to be exempted from the exam): TOEFL ITP Test score (if there is a certificate with test score, candidates write the score in box 405).

Section 16:Candidates who took the high school exam last year, if there are exams/subjects that are eligible to be reserved according to regulations, candidates who want to reserve the scores of an exam/subject must write the scores of that exam/subject in the corresponding box (Note: For combined exams, candidates are entitled to reserve the results of each component exam if eligible, to reserve the entire score of a combined exam, candidates must write the scores of all component exams of that combined exam).

For reserved exams/subjects, candidates can still register to take the exam (exam or component subject) in section 14 only if they wish to use the exam results for university and college entrance examinations.

Items 24, 25, 26, 27 on the software:Candidates registering for the exam to get the results of the University and College entrance exam for Early Childhood Education must fill in the information in these sections. For section 24, candidates must declare on the software completely and correctly the information with evidence according to the regulations and instructions to enjoy priority in the University and College entrance exam./.
