Mr. Tran Ngoc Son - Chief Justice of Nghe An Provincial People's Court said that reducing the term of imprisonment is a humane policy of our Party and State, specified in the Penal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code and the Law on Enforcement of Criminal Judgments to acknowledge the efforts and attempts to reform and reform prisoners. This is also a recognition of the contributions of the Board of Supervisors and the Prison Police force in the management and education of prisoners in prisons, temporary detention camps and temporary detention centers where prisoners are serving their sentences.
Reducing the prison term for prisoners is also a measure to encourage and motivate prisoners who are serving their sentences to actively compete to reform well, soon return to their families, reintegrate into the community and become good people, useful to society.
