Over 1,000 athletes participated in the 19th Phu Dong Sports Festival of Vinh City.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 14th, at the Vinh City Sports Center, the Vinh City Department of Education and Training held the opening ceremony of the 13th Vinh City Phu Dong Sports Festival. Attending the ceremony were representatives from the City Party Committee, the People's Committee, and various departments of Vinh City.

The sports festival saw the participation of over 1,000 athletes from primary, secondary, and high schools across the city, selected through the Phu Dong Sports Festivals at the cluster level. Primary school students competed in 6 sports: table tennis, football, chess, sepak takraw, athletics, and aerobics; secondary school students competed in 8 sports: football, table tennis, volleyball, badminton, sepak takraw, chess, athletics, and basketball.

The matches took place at six venues: Vinh City Stadium, Vinh City Gymnasium, Herman Gmeiner High School, Dang Thai Mai Junior High School, Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School, and Huynh Thuc Khang High School.

The 13th Vinh City Phu Dong Sports Festival aims to evaluate the results of physical education in schools in Vinh City, and to select athletes to participate in the Phu Dong Sports Festival at the district level and the 17th Nghe An Provincial Phu Dong Sports Festival.
The sports festival will end on November 17th.
