The plan to ensure urban traffic safety and order before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of the Rooster in 2017 consists of three phases: phase 1 from December 10-19, 2016 (lunar calendar), phase 2 from December 20-30 (lunar calendar), and phase 3 from January 1-15, 2017 (lunar calendar), with 1325 officers and soldiers (including: City Traffic Police; Public Order Police; professional teams of ward police; population security; militia and urban regulations team). |

The traffic police of Vinh City Police Department, in coordination with the police of the wards, have established 38 task forces with a total of 1300 officers and soldiers. Of these, 36 teams are stationed at key intersections prone to traffic congestion during peak hours, while the remaining 2 teams conduct mobile patrols and inspections to handle cases of illegally parked vehicles. |

| Despite the traffic lights, during rush hour, traffic police officers still have to work hard to direct and manage traffic. Lieutenant Hoang Viet Quoc, an officer from the city's Traffic Team, said: "To ensure smooth traffic flow, we prioritize clearing the road for the direction with the most vehicles and motorized cars, and dedicate more time to that." |
