More than 1,500 workers participate in the 2025 Youth Workers' Festival in Nghe An

Young workers - Spreading positive energy

This year's Youth Workers' Festival has the theme "Young Workers - Spreading Positive Energy".

This is an annual program held during Workers' Month from 2023 organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union with the support of TCP Vietnam Company and Redbull brand.

The program attracted the participation of more than 60,000 young workers; presented gifts to more than 30,000 people; opened more than 200 discount booths and free booths to serve workers.

Speaking at the program, comrade Nguyen Kim Quy - Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union affirmed that the workforce is increasingly growing in both quantity and quality, diverse in structure and plays a very important role in the development of the country.

Currently, the total number of workers in Vietnam is about more than 16 million people, present in all economic sectors, industries, occupations, production, business and service fields.

In order to concretize the policies of the Party and the State, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union regularly organizes activities to care for young workers, timely rewards and encouragement, organizes the commendation of "Good Young Workers", organizes seminars and forums to equip knowledge and skills for young workers in the new era.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union has directly organized and directed local and unit Youth Unions to implement many activities to improve skills, expertise, and professionalism, and equip young workers with courage to promptly meet the requirements of businesses and the labor market, in addition to activities to create a healthy playground and physical training for young people, thereby helping to expand the front of solidarity and gathering young people.

The Resolution of the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union identified "Uniting and rallying young workers and laborers in the 2024-2029 period" as one of the two key tasks of the union at all levels.

In particular, moving forward, the Association will continue to promote and implement many new contents to care for and accompany young workers and laborers more effectively and strongly in both quality and quantity with the "Youth Workers" Festival as the spearhead activity.

Many innovations

In 2025, the Central Youth Union, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, in coordination with TCP Vietnam Company, organized the Youth Workers' Festival in 3 regions: Bac Giang (May 11), Dong Nai (May 18) and Nghe An (May 26).

The series of festivals attracted more than 6,000 young workers with meaningful and practical activities such as: giving gifts to young workers in difficult circumstances; visiting historical and revolutionary sites; medical examination, health consultation, free medicine distribution; organizing folk games, teambuilding activities; deploying discount and subsidy booths; organizing sports activities, badminton and pickleball tournaments...

Along with that, young workers have established youth sports clubs, established branches at youth worker dormitories, signed a program to coordinate vocational training and job sponsorship for young people, organized the "Search for Talents of Young Workers" contest, the "The Face" contest (photo contest), the Festival to promote revolutionary songs for young workers...

In particular, within the framework of the festival, in Nghe An, there was a major event of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union honoring "National Young Workers" with "Journey to bring young workers to the origin of the Nghe Tinh Soviet", offering incense at Truong Bon Historical Site, Uncle Ho Temple, Soviet Martyrs Memorial House and Nghe Tinh Soviet Relic Site, visiting Kim Lien Special National Relic Site.

The Organizing Committee also presented 40 gifts to 40 young workers in difficult circumstances; each gift was worth 1 million VND in cash and 1 gift.

Following the opening ceremony of the festival, there were many folk games organized for young people with many unique games, such as: group rope jumping, group sack jumping, horse riding, looping around people, and group sandals at the Hung Nguyen District Youth Park. A discount booth area was arranged, free of charge to display youth start-up products at the Youth Park.

It is expected that on the evening of May 26, at the Hung Nguyen District Youth Park, the 15th National "Excellent Young Workers" Commendation Program in 2025 will take place.

Within the framework of the program, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and Nghe An Provincial Youth Union launched the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.

This year, the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign in Nghe An province continues to be widely deployed throughout the province, focusing on 5 key campaign spearheads: Exam Support - Green Summer - Red Flamboyant - Pink Vacation - Green March, with many practical activities associated with the needs of the people, especially in remote areas, ethnic minority areas, difficult and special areas.
